Advice about pests and pesticides affects your health, your home and your money. This page sets out who writes what you read on the Karachi Fumigation Services website and blog, what it is based on, and how to tell us if we have something wrong.
Who Writes and Reviews Our Content
Articles on the KFS blog that carry his name are written by Ahmad Karimi, the founder of Karachi Fumigation Services. He holds a degree in zoology with a specialisation in entomology and has worked in pest control in Karachi since 2005.
Service, area and commercial pages are prepared by the KFS team and checked against how the work is actually carried out on site. Pages that deal with chemicals and safety are reviewed by Ahmad before they are published, and say so at the top.
What Our Information Is Based On
- Field work in Karachi. Two decades of treating homes, offices, restaurants and factories in this city, its climate and its buildings.
- Product labels and safety data sheets. What we say about a product comes from the manufacturer’s own documentation for that product.
- World Health Organization guidance for pests that carry disease, such as mosquitoes.
- The requirements of local authorities where a page deals with compliance, for example the certificates food businesses are asked for.
- Our own rate list and warranty terms for anything about price or warranty.
How We Write
We write for Karachi. A guide written for another country’s houses and weather is of little use here, so nothing is copied or recycled from foreign pest control websites.
We use plain language and the names people here actually use, such as deemak, khatmal and lal baig, alongside the English terms. Where a treatment has limits, we say so. Our warranty page, for example, states which services carry no warranty and why.
Prices, Warranty and Service Details
The rates on our pricing page are the same rates our online estimator uses. The warranty periods, re-entry times and methods described on this site are the ones we work to.
Every property is different, so the written quote you receive before the work begins is the final word on price and warranty for your job.
Keeping Pages Up to Date
Pages are reviewed when our rates, our products or the relevant rules change. Pages where the date matters most, such as pricing, chemicals and safety, show when they were last updated.
Health and Safety Information
What we publish about safety is general guidance. For your own property, follow the instructions the technician gives you on the day, because they depend on the product used and on who lives in the home.
Nothing on this website is medical advice. If you have a health concern, during pregnancy for example, or after any exposure to a pesticide, speak to a doctor.
Our Commercial Interest
We are a pest control company, not an independent publisher, and we offer the services our pages describe. We aim to make every article useful whether or not you ever hire us.
We do not publish sponsored articles, and we do not accept payment to mention a product or brand.
Customer Reviews
The reviews on our reviews page are copied from our Google Business Profile with the wording unchanged. We do not state a review count, because the number shown on Google changes.
Corrections
If you find something on this website that is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us. Send the page address and what you think needs changing. It is checked by Ahmad, and if you are right the page is corrected.
