At KFS
The Person Behind How Every Job Is Done
Karachi Fumigation Services was started in 2005, and Ahmad has been responsible for its technical side from the first day. The way a termite barrier is laid, which product goes into a kitchen and which into a wall void, how long a family stays out after treatment: these are decisions he sets for every team.
He holds a degree in zoology with a specialisation in entomology, the study of insects. That training is why the work at KFS starts with identifying the pest and its source, and why this website names the chemicals we use and explains what each one does.
Two decades on, he has overseen treatments in homes, offices, restaurants, schools, hospitals and factories across the city, from termite-damaged bungalows in DHA to large rodent control jobs in the factories of Korangi.
What he is responsible for

B.Sc. in Zoology, specialisation in Entomology
University of Karachi, early 2000s
His undergraduate work centred on urban insect ecology, the biology of structural pests, and the environmental conditions that drive infestations in dense coastal cities such as Karachi.

This added the applied side: how pest problems are managed in practice, and how hygiene standards are kept in commercial and industrial premises.
Professional certification courses
Fumigation technology, integrated pest management, pesticide handling
Certification courses in fumigation technology, integrated pest management (IPM) and the safe handling of WHO-approved pesticides, with continuing professional development through the Pakistan Pest Management Association.

What He Writes on the KFS Blog
Ahmad writes the pest guides published under his name on our blog. They draw on two decades of Karachi-specific observation: which pests peak in which season, which neighbourhoods carry which risks, how the age of a building changes what it is vulnerable to, and what the regulations actually require of a business.
Nothing is recycled from foreign pest control websites. Every article is written for Karachi’s climate, its buildings and its rules. The standards behind the articles are in our editorial policy.
